Please join the OccupyTheRoseParade listserve and like the facebook page for the occupation/event --> http://www.facebook.com/pages/Occupy-the-Rose-Parade-Mon-Jan-2-2012/279763812055563.

Welcome to the OccupyTheRoseParade listserve signup. Our organizing website is http://www.occupytheroseparade.org.

Date: Monday, January 2, 2012 (in Pasadena).

See http://www.occupytheroseparade.org for group listserve signup, periodic updates. Our first organizing meeting is next week. We will keep you informed of planning/logistics meeting as Jan. 2, 2012 approaches. Please share the website URL (i.e., http://www.occupytheroseparade.org) with others you know who may be interested.

Remember, 1% now own 80% of global wealth. 1% of U.S. own 43% of U.S. assets (up from 18% in 1980). The media has become a circus sideshow designed primarily to distract and socially engineer passive submission to authority structures.

An increasingly disconnected pyramid top Robber Baron class that uses a brought and paid for congressional and national political party system that wages imperial wars with much of the world serving as de facto slave labor circuits and cheap resource supply sources for Rome’s Imperial Center. Wall Street puppeteers behind it all.

Enough. In addition to confirming your Google Group join, please also 'like' our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Occupy-the-Rose-Parade-Mon-Jan-2-2012/279763812055563) and encourage other to join us athttp://occupytheroseparade.org/.
Tha for the birthday wish! Some day I have got to go through some of those photos in boxes...not sure when that one was taken of me (or if mom was the photographer?) I don't often make into pictures (usually behind the camera)...nice day today! We are going to see Another Earth this afternoon in Port Angeles http://www.rosetheatre.com/movies/index.html#earth

Maddie here. It was quite a phenomenal movie - only an hour and a half, but every minute poignant. Nesbitt was brilliant as this tormented victim, and I mean victim in every sense. He was a boy of 12 when he watched numbingly as the masked shooter simply strode up to his living room window while he held his soccer ball. The legacy was not just the loss of his older brother, but the torment of his mother's blame, his father's subsequent death, another brother's fatal overdose and his mother's illness and death. So many more victims than one. See this movie, it will bring home the honesty of our human-ness with a painful beauty.

Wow, thanks for the flashback. I can not say I would normally give a moment's thought to anything connected to John Denver but I thank you for the post, it was a lovely bit of nostalgia. As usual, you drew my attention to something I would not have appreciated without your thoughtful reflection. Thank you Randy Sparks.
